Busy again getting ready for the Stamford Artisans Guild Autumn Fair. This is in the Arts Centre in Stamford and is chock a block full of fabulous hand made items – and we mean hand made by the stallholder. There’s a huge range of goods on offer, from jewellery through knitwear, woodwork, needlework, painting to aromatherapy products. You could get a real sneak on Christmas presents and start your Christmas shopping early this year – the coffee shop in the Arts Centre is open all day, and there will be other market stalls in the High Street, so why not make a day of it and join us.
I’m proud to be a member of the Guild, who promote locally made goods in their craft fairs. You won’t find any mass produced or made in third world craft items at our craft fairs, just unusual and interesting things made by the stallholder. That means you can discuss everything about the item with them, and even commission something if you don’t see what you like. Most stallholders are more than happy to discuss their goods with you and would love to hand make something to your specification.
We have so many stallholders wanting to come to our craft fairs now that we are thinking about taking extra space for the Christmas craft fair, which is already bigger and better than last year.
